school sick

When all ordinary form 5 students (2006) are happily welcoming year 2007, a new beginning without (why! of course) school;

I'm, however, sitting in front of the pc, blogging (duh!! -_-"), wishing that in 3 days, I will be in my usual white shirt, blue skirt, red tie, black shoes, and ugly school socks, reaching school at 6.45am seeing YanKeen or Shirley sleeping at the canteen and meeting my dear ShuKheng reading her usual Majalah Pelajar. Awaiting the 3 radio DJ of BeAn FM. Being halau-ed by my juniors (how could they!). The list goes on.

Why? Why? Why?

When *almost* all my friends have decided which road to travel.
(hah. I'm finally implementing the stuffs I learned in school)
I am still looking down as far as I could at the diverged roads.

How I wish I get NS.
I wouldn't have to think so much and decide on something I'm not ready.
And, I don't have to get scolding from my sis for being useless and gets orders from my mom to clean the dishes and wash my sis's toilet.

How I wish I'm still in Form 5.

Kill me.
I won't go for Form 6.

SPM's already made me half dead.
What more sTpm.

We are all material girls (and guys).

As I reminisce the old days when my parents pampered me with lots of luxurious items (for kids less than 17, it is), and seeing what I got for this Christmas.

A huge difference, I'd say.
My parents still did pamper me a lot (although not as much as before).

I got a Olympus Digital Camera (I know laah, it's kinda out-dated)
which costs about 1600++
when I was 15.

Then, I got a Storm Mp3 Player (again, I know it's out-dated)
Hey! It costs almost 600++ that time lerh.
pooh-pooh.
Now, a mp4 player costs less than 300.
blekkkk!!!!

and there's too many that I can't possibly list it here.

But, hey!

I'm a big girl now!
and I have a different prospect on the art of giving.

It's really the heart that counts.

My popo gave me a ring made out of jade (duh..! -_-")
Which meant alot to me.
Because it was like a generation thingy.
Someone passed it to my popo's mom and my popo's passing it down to mua.

And not forgetting a lovely pink rose I received.
my 1st time getting a flower.

My dad got this from his colleague.
How are we suppose to eat this.

Spoiled the entire movie by changing the language to Cantonese.
The movie would be so much better if it was in Mandarin.

As usual, Zhang Yimou never fails to amaze me (and I believe everyone else) with his works.

I still agreed to watch the movie regardless of Jay Chou’s horrific terrific acting.

I was telling my parents the other day bout Ad's 1250 pay job in wisma genting.

They were like stunned.
Somewhat awed by Ad's eager to work and *disappointed* with their daughter's bursting to sleep and eat after SPM.

It's kinda shocking though.

Totally amazed by his ability to make these small doggy origamis.

He arranged the little cute doggies at the side of the window.
About 4-5 of 'em.

This good'ol ah-pak took out a bigger version doggy and gave it to me before I left.

How sweet.

discoveries during chem

As I'm miserably doing my Chemistry paper 3,
at the same time observing the two male invigilators.

All of a sudden, they look like aunties from the pasar pagi,
meeting each other,
sitting round and gossiping.

Uggghhh....

I can't help it.
I keep laughing thinking about them.

I have no idea why these middle-age males
likes to wear tight pants and
they tuck in their shirt as if some little boy scout.

which means it's 85 years old!!!

The atmosphere there is like the olden days.

House Specialty - Sizzling Steak

It is a 'rule' to wear a bib

One of the captain there is, well,
a Hainanese speaking Indian
who have been working there for 32 years.

See, this is MALAYSIA.
I shall learn to speak some Tamil later.

There's this old kong kong, I have no idea who he is.

All I know is, he's 85 too!
And still walking strong.
I don't get a word he said though.
(See, my popo is Hainanese too,
and Chinese has this thingy when they meet
people from their kampung)

The waiters there are all dressed in those
'uncle'ly old-fashioned uniforms.

Which will be pretty interesting if there was a
restaurant with young workers wearing uniforms like those.

Besides being totally amazed by
the age of the uncles and the building.

My dear 9 year old cousin here introduced me
to an even more *awesome* discovery.

Not only the people are old,
The building itself is 85.
